Position Title: Administrative Secretary (Front Desk)
Position Type Full-Time/40 hours weekly
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Location: Holy Cross Radiation Center, 11006 Veirs Mill Rd, Suite L-1 Wheaton, MD
Responsible for administration, training and clerical support at the Radiation Center front desk. Acts as liaison and resource person for the department, with other Hospital departments, and non-hospital clients. Ensures office runs smoothly and efficiently and monitors adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Handles complex and/or sensitive administrative duties for the department. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years' experience encompassing administrative functions.
-Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred.
-Must be able to perform basic math.
-Proficiency with computer/software programs, including Word and Excel.
-Ability to create and develop department forms, newsletters, patient information literature, and other correspondence.
-Able to communicate effectively, speak, write, and comprehend English well enough to proof and perform minor editing of routine office correspondence and forms.
-Interpersonal skills necessary to assist personnel, transmit confidential and/or sensitive information to influential persons within and outside of HCH and explain departmental and hospital policies and procedures in some sensitive situations.
Highlights and Benefits:
Pay Range: $21.74-$26.00
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
