This position is PROMOTIONAL and is ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT, PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OF FLORIDA PARISHES HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY. This position provides leadership, strategic planning, policy development, regulatory oversight, and program accountability for agency functions related to safety, risk management, emergency preparedness, facilities operations, fleet management, property control, and operational compliance.

An ideal candidate shall possess the following competencies:

Examples of duties

Five years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Supplemental information

Job Duties:

  • This position provides leadership, strategic planning, policy development, regulatory oversight, and program accountability for agency functions related to safety, risk management, emergency preparedness, facilities operations, fleet management, property control, and operational compliance.
  • Serves as Facility Manager for the Executive Administration Office and the primary liaison with the Louisiana Office of Risk Management (ORM) and Louisiana Property Assistance Agency (LPAA).
  • Serves as the Director of Safety, Risk Management, Emergency Preparedness, Facility Operations, Lease Administration, Fleet Operations, and Property Control.
  • Duties include long-range planning, budget development, performance management, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation, safety, emergency preparedness, fleet, facilities, and property management requirements.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Promotional. This position is only open to current, permanent employees of FPHSA.

Career Progression: This position will be filled as an Administrative Program Specialist C.

Compensation: The salary range for the position is below.

  • Administrative Program Specialist C: $20.65/hour minimum - $40.53/hour maximum

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

Location: Executive Administration is housed in Hammond, Louisiana.
