The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking an experienced and visionary Administrative Program Director 4 to lead statewide technology strategy, governance, and program oversight. This executive-level position is ideal for a leader who excels at strategic planning, organizational collaboration, and aligning technology initiatives with agency operations and long-term goals.

In this role, you will provide leadership for agency technology programs, support statewide planning efforts, and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness. You will help guide technology priorities, oversee major initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment with business needs, regulatory requirements, and agency objectives.

Examples of duties

Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

  • Provides executive leadership for statewide technology programs supporting secure care, community supervision, and educational services.
  • Develops technology strategies and governance frameworks to align agency systems with operational and strategic priorities.
  • Serves as the agency's technology liaison with state agencies, educational partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversees technology planning and program development by identifying system needs, guiding enhancements, and supporting long-term operational improvements.
  • Directs technology staff and resources while overseeing budgets, forecasting, and program performance.
  • Ensures compliance and data governance by supporting information security requirements, reporting obligations, and regulatory standards.
  • Manages technology contracts and vendor relationships including procurement activities, service agreements, and performance monitoring.

Work location: This vacancy is located at the Office of Juvenile Justice-Central Office in Baton Rouge, LA.

Appointment Type: Full-time, Probational

Compensation: $35.50 - $69.66 hourly
