With Limited supervision, this individual will perform ancillary tasks that allow radiologist to focus on their primary clinical functions. These tasks include handling outgoing communications (such as notification of clinicians for critical, urgent and unexpected findings) and incoming communications (such as walk in and phone call requests from referring physicians for preliminary findings and verbal consults). The individual will also monitor reading rooms and radiologist activities to include regulatory and policy compliance and service standards. By preparing and analyzing the critical metrics in the entire imaging process (exam request to final report), the individual will make data driven suggestions to improve the delivery of care.

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or healthcare-related education may be preferred.
2+ Years of recent healthcare or radiology experience, such as experience in a hospital, imaging center, medical office, or radiology department.
Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly radiology and anatomy terminology.
Computer proficiency, including electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), scheduling systems, and basic office software.
Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System) is highly desirable.
Ability to prepare and organize patient studies and medical records for radiologists.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills when interacting with radiologists, technologists, physicians, patients, and other staff.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and respond to urgent requests.
Typing/data-entry skills and accurate documentation.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Professionalism, reliability, and discretion are essential.
