Proactively advising clients, offering smart solutions and flawlessly handling customs documentation to ensure smooth shipment flow and optimal customer service: you’re on it.

How do you do this? As an administrative officer custom, you are the specialist within the team when it comes to customs processes and documentation. You work closely with the customer service department and interact directly with clients to advise and support them. You think ahead, identify opportunities and proactively provide solutions. You are confident and able to communicate professionally and customer-focused, even when delivering complex or less favourable messages. You are driven to serve the customer in the best possible way.You achieve this by:

• collecting, checking and completing customs documents in line with laws and regulations;
• advising customers and colleagues on customs requirements and necessary documentation;
• identifying discrepancies and proactively resolving missing or incorrect information;
• coordinating with customers, customer service and international partners to ensure smooth shipment processes.

You bring

• mbo+ level of thinking and working and a basic declarant diploma;
• excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written is a must and English is a plus;
• experience with reading invoices is a plus;
• strong communication skills, a customer- and solution-oriented mindset, proficiency in working with multiple systems and the ability to combine administrative accuracy and attention to detail with a consultative, customer-focused approach.
