Under the general direction of the Director of Emergency Services and Nursing Resources, the ANC coordinates activities relating to the care of patients within the hospital on an assigned shift. Functions within the limits of the Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and hospital and nursing department policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, mission, vision, and goals of the hospital and nursing division.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the State of Vermont is required.
BSN degree or higher required. MSN or comparable Master’s degree is preferred.
Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are required within six (6) months of hire and maintained as current thereafter.
EXPERIENCE:
Five to seven years of progressive hospital nursing experience, including in a leadership capacity is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of in-hospital nursing experience required.
