  • Position: Administrative Nurse
  • Location: Dallas, TX
  • Hours: Full time
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm (on site, in office)

THE POSITION:

The Administrative Nurse provides onboarding and on-going educational enrichment to staff, clients and families. This position provides administrative support of quality/compliance measures, marketing, and recruitment, as requested, for the branch office.

  • Participates in candidate to new hire process, interviewing, orientation, and training as directed by Branch Administrator
  • Assesses the learning needs and competencies of direct patient caregivers and provides education as needed
  • Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation and training programs; Practices and promotes professional development of staff, peers, and self
  • Maintains relationships with Case Managers, Hospital staff and Physicians, Families, and Clients to promote awareness of company services and increase referrals
  • Serves as a communication liaison and care coordinator to staff, clients, physicians, and families including providing updates to changes in condition or needs
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement and management programs implementing and communicating corrective action plans and interventions
  • Occasionally attend client shifts to assess, problem solve, provide specialized care, and facilitate improving nurse/client/family relations
  • Completes and maintains clinical/progress notes, documentation, files, and records as required
  • Provides direct patient care within the scope of their license as requested or needed
  • Demonstrates an understanding and willingness to practice PHS guiding principles in daily work performance and interactions as a representative of PHS
  • Demonstrates understanding, concern, and support of the mission and philosophy of PHS in daily work performance and interactions as a representative of PHS
  • Practices and promotes positive relationships and communication with all co-workers and the branch and corporate offices
  • Reports and responds to complaints and incidents appropriately and per policy.
  • Understands, Acknowledges, and follows all Policies and Procedures relevant to position and scope of work
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance in office
  • Carries out assignments, directives and other duties as directed by Supervisor or Management Team
  • Other duties as assigned

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensed in good standing with applicable state board of nursing (multiple states may be required)
  • Two years of experience working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse including Pediatric home health
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • KanTime Healthcare Software experience preferred
