The Administrative Director of Imaging is a senior market leader responsible for advancing outpatient imaging access, operational alignment, and performance across the Palm Beach market. This leader will serve as the market-level owner for outpatient imaging strategy and execution, partnering with hospital leaders, imaging teams, physicians, radiologists, Conifer, marketing, finance, and operations to improve patient access, strengthen physician referral relationships, optimize site performance, and promote the growth of our imaging business across the network both in the short and long-term.

The role is designed to provide focused market leadership for outpatient imaging while preserving local site operating structures. The Director will influence execution through a dotted-line operating model, use data and dashboards to identify performance gaps, and work with market and hospital leadership to remove barriers related to scheduling, authorization, capacity, radiologist alignment, service experience, and referral capture.

  • Physician Relationship Management and Business Development
  • Build and manage relationships with referring physicians, practices, and office staff to improve ease of use and strengthen imaging referral loyalty.
  • Work with physician sales, marketing, and hospital leadership to identify referral leakage, service barriers, and targeted growth opportunities.
  • Develop clear action plans for priority physicians and practices, ensuring follow-up, issue resolution, and accountability for results.
  • Support messaging and outreach efforts that position the market’s imaging services around access, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Operational Alignment and Performance Management
  • Provide market-level leadership and dotted-line accountability for outpatient imaging performance across hospital-based imaging teams.
  • Partner with hospital COOs, imaging leaders, and site teams to monitor dashboards, identify performance gaps, and drive consistent execution across sites.
  • Establish standard routines for reviewing access, volume, turnaround, service, productivity, and growth metrics.
  • Develop and enable operational workflow and new technology to streamline imaging operations and maximize throughput / growth opportunities in the centers
  • o Escalate barriers and provide actionable feedback to market and hospital leadership to improve performance and accountability.
  • Access, Scheduling, and Process Improvement
  • Partner with Conifer, scheduling, authorization, registration, and local operating teams to improve patient and physician office access.
  • Identify and resolve process barriers that create delays, leakage, poor service experience, or inconsistent utilization of optimization tools.
  • Develop and implement practical solutions to improve ease of use for physicians, office staff, patients, and hospital teams.
  • Support standard work and process discipline across sites while allowing for local operating needs.
  • Support staffing optimization of OP centers to maximize capacity and growth
  • Market Imaging Growth Strategy
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize outpatient imaging growth opportunities across modalities, sites, physician practices, service lines, and geographies.
  • Use market data, referral patterns, competitive intelligence, and operational performance metrics to define growth priorities and track execution.
  • Partner with hospital, market, and group leadership to align imaging priorities with broader strategic and business planning goals.
  • Identify opportunities to expand or optimize imaging services based on market demand, physician needs, competitive dynamics, and operating

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, operations, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, with experience across imaging operations, business development, and/or ambulatory outpatient services
  • Demonstrated experience supporting growth initiatives, referral development, physician engagement, sales strategy, business development, or market expansion in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with physicians, physician office staff, hospital operators, and cross-functional teams to improve access, service experience, and referral capture.
  • Imaging operations experience is strongly preferred; nursing leadership, hospital operations, ambulatory operations, or healthcare sales/business development experience may also be considered relevant depending on candidate background.

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical capabilities; ability to develop and evaluate operational dashboards supporting the enablement of imaging objectives
  • Proven ability to influence across teams without direct-line authority and drive accountability through partnership, structure, and performance management.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to work effectively with hospital CEOs, COOs, physician leaders, radiologists, nursing leaders, operations teams, and market leadership.
