Summary

The mission of the Acadiana Area Human Services District is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Supplemental information

Job Duties:

  • provides an array of administrative support functions to clients and professional staff under the direct supervision of the Administrative Program Manager.
  • As Receptionist – Greets and registers clients of the Adult and Children’s Service programs; answers, screens and refers calls to professional staff.
  • As Financial Reviewer – Interviews/screens clients to obtain identifying information and obtains their financial information., i.e., income, insurance, etc.
  • Works in Admissions – Obtains appropriate signatures and documents to authorize treatment of care, and enters demographic information into an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Serves as a purchasing liaison by preparing and processing purchase orders/requisitions; ordering merchandise, maintaining accurate records of all supplies and equipment purchased and enters into information system; distributes and monitors supplies/equipment as needed.
  • Prepares, maintains, and monitors inventory of property/equipment for the clinic and assisting with contract programs. Verifies and certifies accurate physical inventory to the Division of Administration LPAA.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday
