The Louisiana Educational TV Authority (also known as Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator 3-4 to be a part of their Administration team. As the Administrative Coordinator 3/4 at LETA/LPB, you hold the most important position in the agency. You are the first point of contact at the LPB offices, and the first impression of our organization rests with you. You serve as the primary administrative contact for the human resources office, which requires a high degree of confidentiality. In this role, you need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal abilities. You must be able to navigate sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Your attention to detail is critical, as is your commitment to providing outstanding customer service. When resolving problems or handling customer service matters, you are expected to communicate effectively and maintain a service-oriented mindset. Collaboration is an essential part of your responsibilities; you work closely with other administrative support personnel to ensure that all duties are performed with a team-oriented approach.

Examples of duties
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:
Provides primary administrative support to Human Resources.
Manages a multi-line phone system, welcomes visitors to the office, processes incoming and outgoing mail, and ensures the office environment remains clean and well-organized.
Delivers comprehensive administrative assistance, including drafting emails, memos, and letters; creating spreadsheets; and distributing forms.
Maintains filing systems and contact databases.
Data entry into computer systems.

This position participates in a Career Progression Group and may be filled at either an Administrative Coordinator 3 or 4
Appointment Type: Probational
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Work Schedule: 8-hour days, Monday-Friday.

Compensation: Applicants who possess experience greater than the minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-than-minimum hiring rate utilizing State Civil Service Rule 6.5(g).
