Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is looking to hire an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and analytical support to departmental leadership. This role serves as a strategic partner to senior management by coordinating executive operations, conducting complex analyses and special projects, preparing reports and recommendations, synthesizing data, and supporting department-wide initiatives. The incumbent applies strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills while ensuring compliance with university policies and facilitating effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Hourly range: $33.81-$53.93

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience.
  • Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives.
  • Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documents.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
