Organization:

SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-BayThe Administrative Consultant will serve as a trusted, strategic partner to two senior Sutter Health Innovation Executives, providing executive support in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. This role is suited for a highly organized, proactive professional who operates with discretion, sound judgment, and a strong sense of ownership. Responsibilities include managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and travel, preparing executive-level materials, and handling sensitive information with professionalism, while effectively prioritizing across competing demands.

In parallel, this role plays a critical role in the operational excellence of Sutter Health’s Innovation Center, curating an environment that supports executive leadership, strategic work, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include cultivating a strong in-person experience, coordinating on-site events and executive visits, and managing special projects that advance innovation initiatives. The Administrative Consultant will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to oversee initiatives from concept through execution, contribute to department goals, and support a culture of continuous improvement. This is a full-time, in-person role based at the Innovation Center in San Francisco, ideal for someone who values being embedded in the action and building strong, in-person relationships with leaders, partners, and teams.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years recent relevant experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven success supporting multiple senior leaders, managing complex calendars, travel, and cross-functional coordination with discretion and efficiency. Open to new tools to advance efficiency.

  • Experience planning and executing high-touch events, executive visits, and partner engagements in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.

  • Ability to create seamless onsite experiences — from managing hospitality and logistics to collaborating with facilities, IT, and content teams.

  • Skilled in stakeholder communication, with a polished presence and comfort interfacing with C-level leaders, investors, and strategic partners.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve program objectives.

  • Proven experience providing high-level administrative support to senior executives.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to Sutter Health's mission, vision, and values.

  • Organizational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Effective communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on writing.

  • Motivated and resourceful self-starter with the ability to anticipate needs, meet deadlines, and solve problems creatively, both independently and in team settings.

  • Adaptability to interact with various types of visitors with poise and self-confidence. Desire and ability to work independently and autonomously.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Pay Range is $52.44 to $78.66 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
