Under general supervision, the Administrative Associate IV provides advanced administrative support to the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Nutrition Science. This role involves managing a wide range of complex tasks, including coordinating activities, maintaining detailed records, and assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Administrative Associate IV will also serve as a point of contact for communications, ensuring smooth operations within the department.
This is a full-time, in-person position located on Tarleton’s campus in Fort Worth, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Some evenings and weekends may be required pending scheduled activities.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
Provides advanced administrative support and may maintain office schedules and appointments.
Explains, applies, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures.
Assists in the development of office procedures, including complex or specialized functions.
Maintains office reference materials, including online office materials.
May deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, or materials.
May assist management in the supervision of student workers.
Handles complex confidential matters.
Analysis
Researches and analyzes administrative requirements for specific programs or projects.
Performs special analyses and project summaries.
Monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
Record Maintenance
Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records.
Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, tables, and other documents.
Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.
Event and Meeting Coordination
Makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel.
Assists in the planning of special events.
May set up meetings, seminars, and other special events, including facilities, equipment, and food.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:
The target base hourly range is $18.03 per hour and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
