This Administrative Associate III for Recreation Sports works under general supervision and provides complex administrative support work.
The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative clerical support to the Director, Assistant Director, Five Coordinators, and Graduate Assistants of the Department of Recreational Sports. Handle steady customer traffic in office, assist in budget and fiscal operations.
Respond to inquiries and concerns of students, administrators, guests, and visitors; assist with implementing new programs via clerical support; be knowledgeable of all Rec Sports programs, events and services.
Order and stock supplies for the department; responsible for maintenance of office equipment; answer phones, provide customer service over the phone and in person.
Assist with organization, development of office student staff, operations, membership sales and categories; promote programs and services, market and promote special events and projects
Create and maintain student staff records
Opening/Closing and weekend work responsibilities as required.
Maintain and reconcile monthly reports
Coordinate leave and travel activities for the Department of Recreational Sports; manage travel vouchers and leave forms;
Train new student hires assigned to recreational sports on biweekly payroll submittal/direct deposit set up/clock in/out via departmental time keeping application.
Manage payroll processes for student staff.
Requisitions, Purchase Orders, LDocuments, E-Documents, payroll adjustments, EPAEGREWR documents, budget forms, procurement forms, travel forms and HR forms via ( FAMIS and Workday).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Three years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
