THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANT-FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL JULY 29, 2026. THE FUNDING MAY BE EXTENDED PENDING FUNDING AVAILABILITY. (20 HOURS PER WEEK)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Administrative Associate 2 supports the successful implementation of a one-year, part-time project focused on cancer education and screening. This position provides essential administrative support, assists the Registered Nurse (RN) educator with project-related tasks, ensures smooth operations, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication between project team members, community partners, and stakeholders. This position involves supporting outreach efforts in Shelby and the surrounding counties.

  1. Coordinates schedules for educational sessions and community outreach activities.
  2. Manages the calendars for project staff, including the RN educator and nursing student sessions.
  3. Supports the RN in preparing educational materials related to breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer awareness.
  4. Maintains accurate records of participant data, including completed screening questionnaires and test kit distributions.
  5. Distribute screening questionnaires to participants during outreach events.
  6. Tracks referrals made to local providers and compiles follow-up reports as needed.
  7. Assists in tracking PSA and colorectal test kit distributions and referrals made to local providers.
  8. Serves as the primary point of contact for community partners, stakeholders, and participants regarding administrative inquiries.
  9. Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and maintains confidentiality of all participants.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR Associate’s Degree in lieu of experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
