Youth In Transition (YIT) School supports students on unique educational journeys by creating a structured, compassionate, and responsive learning environment. We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, student-centered setting.
What You’ll Do
Front Office & Daily Operations
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors and maintaining a welcoming front office
- Support student arrival and dismissal procedures
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
Student Records & Data Management
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records and databases
- Scan and organize admission and discharge documentation
- Manage attendance and report to district (LEA) and administration
Administrative & Staff Support
- Manage calendars and coordinate meetings
- Support teachers and staff with administrative tasks
- Assist with enrollment and registration
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies
Billing & Reporting
- Organize data for transportation billing
- Assist with clinical billing tracking
- Support financial recordkeeping
Student Support & Safety
- Assist during crisis situations by maintaining a safe environment
- Contact emergency services under direction
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High school diploma required
- Administrative experience preferred
Skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to handle confidential information
