Located between London, ON and Sarnia, ON, south of Highway 402, the Township of Warwick is a growing community of approximately 3,800 residents. The Administrative Assistant position is a full-time position that works 37.5 hours a week. This role is responsible for acting as the primary administrative support role for various departments of the Township of Warwick and provides excellent customer service over the phone and in person. Duties include various administrative tasks such as research, filing, typing, answering enquiries from the public, receiving payments and compiling materials for meetings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree/Certificate in office administration, public or business administration, or related field.
• Two years of experience, preferably in a municipal office environment with administrative responsibilities and working with senior management and Council members.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of technology platforms with the ability to learn new software programs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, including proper telephone etiquette, and to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain discretion in a confidential environment with a high level of detail.
• Demonstrated ability to use reliable judgement to maintain confidentiality.
• Be familiar with and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations, and the Township’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and all other applicable workplace legislation.
• Experience with social media, website moderation and media background considered an asset.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hour week position. The compensation for this position is $48,815 to $61,019 with benefit package and OMERS to commensurate with experience.
