Responsibilities

Assists the Director of Human Resources and the Human Resource Department by performing administrative duties. Types and distributes dictated or hand-written office correspondence, letters, memoranda, etc. Handles routine correspondence on own initiative, drafts correspondence for signature as directed. Schedules, coordinates and arranges meetings and appointments and maintains accurate calendar of same. Maintains accurate files, records, reports, etc. Opens, sorts and routes mail. Receives and screens telephone calls. Responsible for managing HR phones and assuring that HR staff responds in a timely manner. Responds to and completes all verifications of employment within a 3 day period. Enters personnel data into the HRIS system (Meditech).Manages the File Room and assures that paperwork is filed. Maintains adequate office supplies. Coordinates special projects as needed. Maintain and update HR Policy and Procedure Manual. Follows St. John’s Riverside Hospital attendance policy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must posses strong computer and typing skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Outstanding communications skills and including advanced writing skills.
