About us:

Cambridge Management, Inc. (CMI) began in 1987 as a small team managing a portfolio of communities in Tacoma, Washington. Our focus soon shifted to providing quality management for affordable housing communities. These affordable communities provide homes for those with limited incomes including families, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. Today, our team has grown to nearly 350 employees managing 120 communities and more than 9,000 apartment homes. Our portfolio includes market rate, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, and Project-Based Section-8 communities that range in size from 6 to 344 units. We currently manage communities in California, Florida, Hawaii, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington State, and Virginia.

Position Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00

Paid time off:

  • An accrual of 80 hours of Vacation.
  • Up to 6 paid sick days per year. (varies based on state sick leave laws)
  • 8 paid holidays
  • 2 paid floating holidays.

The Administrative Assistant utilizes QuickBooks, Concur and Microsoft Offices Suites to maintain company correspondences and records. While working closely with other team members and independently.

Requirements:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This job description does not list all duties that will be required of this position. You will be required to perform other duties, as requested by your supervisor.

  • Manage Document control processes, including organizing and maintaining company correspondence and records
  • Coordinate and fulfill vendor requests for documentation and information related to collections and accounting matters
  • Support accounting operations through data entry, invoice processing and reporting in QuickBooks
  • Assist with Travel arrangements and expense report review and approvals using Concur
  • Provide backup support to team members during urgent situations or staff absences
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and maintain organized distribution procedures
  • Deliver general administrative and operational support across departments as needed

Knowledge, Skill, and Competency Requirements

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Concur and Microsoft Office Suites
  • Strong Organizational Skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • QuickBooks
  • Concur
  • Experience with RealPage is a plus

Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience or related work experience

Additional Notes

Offers contingent upon successful completion of background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if required by position)

Must be able to complete all required training within thirty (30) days of hire date.
