As the Administrative Assistant III (AA3) and under the direction of the Radiology Administrative Support Staff-Reception Supervisor, you will provide administrative support for the Department of Radiological Sciences. Major Job functions to include but not limited to the registration/arrival of patients, obtaining clinical information pertinent to the scheduled exams and the collection of cash/insurance and authorization information. Additional duties include scheduling as required for add-on and follow-up appointments, cancel appointments and rescheduling of patients. Digitization of hardcopy images; create hardcopy and/or CDs of images; and retrieve comparison studies It is expected that you communicate with referring service/physician on all patient-related matters involving the outpatient population while performing scheduling duties as assigned as well as other administrative tasks.
The AA3 demonstrates maximum flexibility and multitasking capabilities while possessing the ability to rotate to existing Radiology Areas.
Salary Range: 30.36 - 43.49
Strong working knowledge of radiology experience, personal computers, HIS, RIS, LORAD, PACSCUBE CD Burner, Array Digitizer – strongly preferred
Medical terminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patient procedures interacting with physicians, patients and staff.
Skill in quickly assimilating and retaining a large body of financial screening and patient registration information.
Working knowledge of hospital/billing forms and the ability to explain services and charges to patients and/or family
