
The UCF School of Data, Mathematical, and Statistical Sciences (SDMSS), instructs students in a wide variety of methods for collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and organization of data. Students in our programs gain the knowledge and technical skills necessary to use complex data in many different applications. The department offers three undergraduate degrees: one in Statistics, one in Actuarial Science, and one in Data Science. The graduate degree offered by the department includes an M.S. degree with two tracks in Data Mining and Statistical Computing, a SAS certificate program, and a Ph.D. degree in Big Data Analytics.
The Opportunity:
UCF's School of Data, Mathematical, and Statistical Sciences (SDMSS) within the College of Sciences is seeking a professional Administrative Assistant III to serve as the assistant to the Director of the SDMSS. This role will be the organizational backbone of the school's leadership operations — ensuring that the Director and the broader school run with efficiency, professionalism, and care. This is a highly visible, high-trust role suited for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in managing complexity, navigating confidential matters with discretion, and serving as a calm, reliable presence for a fast-paced academic environment. You'll be relied upon to manage the Director's calendar, coordinate internal and external communications, support Steering Committee logistics, and help keep the school's administrative operations running smoothly day to day. If you're someone who brings strong organizational instincts, excellent judgment, and a proactive approach to administrative support — this is a role where your skills will directly enable the work of a thriving academic school.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
