Job Description

The Administrative Assistant III provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Dean’s Office, contributing to the effective coordination of faculty-related processes and academic initiatives. This role supports faculty hiring and onboarding, academic honesty processes, and financial transactions related to faculty and student activities. The position also provides cross-functional support to multiple team members to ensure continuity of operations during peak periods. It requires strong organizational, detail oriented and customer service skills, responsiveness, and the ability to work with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors to the 2nd floor of Nollen House and provide frontline assistance.
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative support for faculty searches.
  • Support the Academic Honesty processes.
  • Taking minutes at faculty meetings.
  • Perform general clerical tasks and administrative support to the Dean’s office.
  • Work with accounting processes to facilitate reimbursements.
  • Support the Dean’s Assistant

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Five years or more of work experience
  • Champions Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Planning and organizing skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents.
  • Independent self-starter with developed problem-solving skills.
  • Can demonstrate workload flexibility and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
