
Job Title: Long Term Substitute Administrative Assistant II- Attendance Faribault High School
Job Summary: Administrative Assistant II- Attendance, 8 hours per day, five (5) days per week, at the Faribault High School. Secretary will be responsible for providing support to the Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Principal with attendance and discipline issues. Responsible for attendance, behavior management, truancy letters, phones and a variety of other office duties. Must be able to multi-task in a very fast paced office. This position will start on October 20th, 2026 and continues until the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications: High School Diploma Required; two year degree or equivalent preferred. Must be bilingual in Spanish or Somali language. Experience working with high school students as well as experience working in a fast paced environment with a behavior management focus preferred. Ability to take and follow through with direction from administration with excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate a calm approach when working with students and adults. Strong interpersonal communication skills; Strong bilingual communication skills; High degree of organizational skills; Ability to manage general office procedures and machines. Skills with public relations including personal contact, telephone, and written communication. Proficient in computer technology including knowledge of Infinite Campus, and Microsoft Office suites.
Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities.
