Job Description

Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant II in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 537212), to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with possibilities to renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years’ relevant work experience in tertiary education institutions, including at least 3 years supervisory role. They should have outstanding administration and management skills, particularly in the areas of human resources and finance; excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese); good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet strict deadlines. They should also be attentive to details, and self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility.

The appointee will work for the “Jockey Club Health Programme for Adult Persons with Disabilities” under the supervision of Professor Kelvin Wang. He/She will work closely with various parties, including the funder, NGOs, internal and external stakeholders, and other teams to administer the Project. He/She will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of administrative functions including human resources, financial matters, project planning and management, secretarial work, supervising junior administrative staff; and performing other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
