Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of direct professional experience in an administrative support position.
Associates degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to those with state of Florida purchasing experience.
Requirements:
Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.
and Responsibilities:
This position provides administrative support to the FWC’s Freshwater Fisheries Management Division serving the Northeast Regional staff. The position serves as a key point of contact for the public and staff, providing professional customer service while supporting a variety of fisheries management programs and office operations. The position performs a range of administrative, clerical, and program support tasks including document preparation, purchasing assistance, record keeping, and coordination of program activities. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced team environment supporting conservation and management efforts for Florida’s freshwater fisheries.

Ability to effectively use computers, office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and Adobe Pro), and web-based systems to complete administrative tasks.
Ability to learn and utilize new software systems and technologies.
Possess good customer service, telephone and clerical skills
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently
Ability and desire to work in an extremely fast-paced, team environment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to act on changing priorities and responsibilities
