The Administrative Assistant - COO position exists to provide administrative assistance for the COO office. Works directly with the Executive Assistant -COO to support work using a wide range of processes and organizational skills; as well as provides back-up for the Chief Operating Officer and Office of the President administrative assistants.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assists in of a variety of administrative duties
• Is able to back-up the Executive Assistant for the Chief Operating Officer as well as stand in when needed in the Office of the President
• Serves as a contributing member of the COO’s direct report team
• May respond to highly diversified inquiries from management, employees, constituents, and the public
• May schedule meetings on behalf of the COO

Personal Characteristics:
• Highly developed emotional intelligence (EQ) and mature judgment
• Self-starter with resilience and mature judgment
• Able to handle changing and challenging priorities with calmness and can-do attitude.
Knowledge/Experience:
• Specialized training/education equivalent to two years of college
• 4-6 years of related experience
• Type 60-75 wpm with 98% accuracy
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Exhibits discernment, discretion, courtesy, and tact with individuals in telephone and personal dealings
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of staff across the ministry
• Ability to create goodwill across the ministry on behalf of the office of the COO
• Displays discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information; exhibits the utmost integrity to safeguard the ministry's integrity
Pay Range: $18.00 to $21.00
