Job Description

The Administrative Assistant position provides administrative, client, and facility support to the regional Engineering organization. Working under the direct supervision of the Regional leadership, this position takes the lead responsibility to ensure the day to day office operations are organized and functional.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Input information accurately from a variety of sources into computer database

Provide general administrative and clerical support including but not limited to mailing, scanning,

and copying

Review incoming and outgoing data for completeness and correctness

Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails

Ability to meet established deadlines and deliver requested information in a timely manner

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

COMPLEXITY OF WORK:

Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures.

RELATIONSHIP OUTSIDE WORK GROUP: Exchange of information, which occasionally requires tact and/or diplomacy.

2. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

· Required High school degree or GED.

· Preferred Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school).

Experience

1-3 Year(s) Experience in administrative support

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

A. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc.

B. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

1. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

A. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

B. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Required computer skills and knowledge of relevant software

· Required knowledge of operation of standard office equipment

· Required knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping

· Preferred knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management

· Self-Motivated and able to work independently

· Team and customer orientated

· Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members
