An Off-Campus Work-Study Position
Hours: 16 -28 hours per week
The
Administrative Assistant at Crossroads for Women plays a crucial role in
ensuring the smooth functioning of the office. This position supports the
Operations and Finance Director while fostering an organized and efficient work
environment. The individual in this role must possess strong organizational
abilities and attention to detail, successfully managing multiple tasks in a
fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to
problem-solving are essential for contributing to the organization's mission
and objectives.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Degree.
Excellent
written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong
attention to detail and organization.
Experience
with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability
to multi-task.
Ability
to work independently and as part of the team to ensure that the highest
quality and most relevant aspects of the job and services are provided.
Ability
to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality.
Must
possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license, a clean driving record, and
proof of insurance; able and willing to travel locally as needed.
This position is subject to Criminal Background Check
(post-offer).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain organized electronic
and physical filing systems for financial documents and administrative
records.
Provide support to the front desk
by answering phones, checking voicemail daily, and responding to
administrative calls as appropriate. Address public inquiries regarding
agency services.
Ensure that copies of
administrative forms are up-to-date, accessible, and available to staff.
Maintain an accurate inventory
of supplies and reorder as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
Participate in regular agency
and departmental meetings, as well as other relevant community meetings as
necessary.
Contributes to the management of donations as needed, including greeting donors, receiving donations and ensuring that donation receipt forms are completed.
Assist in maintaining a safe,
clean, and organized workplace.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regular
and consistent use of phone required.
Regular
and consistent use of keyboard and mouse.
Ability
to climb stairs on occasion.
Must
be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Consistent sitting for many hours at one time. Majority of day (50%+) is spent sitting
at a desk.
