Mill Administrative Assistant

Pay Rate:

$48,300 - $67,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Purpose:

  • The EHS Administrative Assistant position reports directly to the EHS Manager and provides administrative support to the EHS department as well as the Logistics/Traffic area.
  • Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide clerical support to the EHS department; organizing, tracking, reviewing and filing safety documents including; lockout forms, confined space entry forms, 5S forms, etc.

  • Assist in meeting planning/execution.

  • Assist during operations outages by helping manage contractor check in/out, provide lockout support and serve as confined space attendant duties as well as fire safety watch duties.

  • Perform various administrative tasks to verify accuracy of raw material weights and research associated discrepancies. Correct issues listed on the Mill Exception and Event Log/Verify manual entries performed at scale house.

  • Complete safe work observations and serve as administrator for observation tracking tool.

  • Key Accountabilities:

  • Must be able to work in an industrial environment.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, lift various office materials and walk or stand or extended periods of time.
  • Computer viewing approximately 75-80% of the time.
  • Individual must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
  • Must be willing to travel locally to pick up food, supplies, etc.

  • Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • High school diploma

  • Ability to type 50 words per minute

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) required. With an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.

  • Experience with documentation and control systems.

  • Strong organization, follow-up and communication skills.
