MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite and 4 days remote per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide high-level organizational and administrative support vital to the operational success of the government customer
  • Manage the administrative lifecycle of mission-essential documentation, including the processing and tracking of Scientific and Technical Information and contract deliverables
  • Serve as a central point of contact for personnel administrative tracking, including the oversight of clearance documentation.
  • Coordinating complex domestic and international travel requirements, ensuring all personnel movements comply with Department of Homeland regulations and mission timelines

  • Perform specialized word processing and document reproduction to ensure all program outputs meet high-quality standards
  • Facilitate communication between government stakeholders and technical teams, manage leadership calendars, and maintain organized documentation libraries
  • Assist in the administrative aspects of planning, coordinating, recordkeeping, and post-event reporting for off-site conferences and workshops
  • Ensure the organizational infrastructure remains robust and responsive to evolving mission needs by streamlining office workflows and supporting transition-in/transition-out activities
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet DHS S&T quality standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in office administration

  • Experience facilitating communication between government stakeholders, managing leadership calendars, and maintaining organized documentation libraries

  • Proficiency with coordinating complex domestic and international travel arrangements

  • Proven track record of performing specialized word processing and document reproduction

  • Experience with developing complex reports and briefings for senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations


The projected compensation range for this position is $52,700.00-$87,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
