Job Description

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Facilities Sector with outstanding communication skills, to assist the Long Beach Community College District’s Bond Management Team in the daily reporting, communications, operations, coordination, and general administrative needs of District’s capital improvements program. The ideal candidate is be able to coordinate multiple daily tasks, exhibit hospitality to teammates and external partners, and have a basic understanding of facility design and construction, or a strong desire to gain such understanding.

This is an in-person position located on-site at Long Beach Community College District’s Liberal Arts Campus, where Cordoba Corporation is the Program/Construction Manager overseeing the District’s capital improvement program supported by Measure E, LB and AC General Obligation Bonds.

Responsibilities

  • Producing professional meeting minutes and issuing to attendees in a timely manner.
  • Regular updating of shared team calendar to reflect all meetings, events, and out of office.
  • Assisting with project document control.
  • Assist with logging and tracking invoices and purchase orders to ensure documents are processed for signatures and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Assist Human Resources with new employee setup and onboarding.
  • Coordinate office supply replenishment with home office.
  • Gathering project and special event information to update monthly newsletter.
  • Regular communication with internal and external business partners

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Well organized
  • Self-starter and highly-motivated.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Excellent Microsoft 365 application knowledge.
  • Knowledge of basic financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of basic construction management procedures

Salary Range: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Environment: Onsite.
