Job Description

Ohel is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the team responsible for Government, Capital, and Foundation grants and contracts. The candidate will work closely with, and report to, Ohel’s Senior Grants Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct administrative support to Senior Grants Manager
  • Maintain accurate filing of grant/contract documentation
  • Assist with project management tasks, including tracking grant/contract activities
  • Research funding opportunities
  • Contribute to improved efficiency of grants operation

Required Skills:

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment, balance multiple projects to meet timelines and deadlines, and proactively manage workflow
  • Strong verbal, written, research, and communications skills
  • Superior organizational and follow-through skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff
  • Proficiency with Word, Adobe, Excel, Adobe Suite; project management platforms a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a position with similar duties
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector; knowledge of government systems and processes a plus
  • Ability to work effectively independently

This full-time position is based in Brooklyn.

Salary: $30.00 -$33.00 per hour
