Responsibilities

An Independent Advisor for GTC is seeking an administrative assistant to provide a versatile range of administrative support by performing back-office duties, such as preparing invoices, spreadsheets, client correspondence, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares invoices, handles bookkeeping, manages spreadsheets, and creates other documents as needed.
  • Performs administrative support tasks such as emailing, downloading information, compiling spreadsheets, and maintaining records.
  • Learn basic booking techniques for routine travel services, such as transportation, hotels, simple airline tickets and assist with concierge-type requests.
  • Build client profiles
  • Completing client proposals and travel itineraries via software templates.
  • Reviewing unclaimed commission lists and contacting vendors who have not yet sent monies due.
  • Updating Advisor’s blogs and other social media sites.
  • Sort incoming emails and separate out leads into a queue to be actioned.
  • Assist with maintaining Independent Advisor’s calendar and schedule.
  • Miscellaneous administrative activities and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year of administrative assistant experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of travel industry experience.
  • Minimum six (6) months of Sabre GDS experience, or equivalent Sabre GDS training.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be detailed-oriented, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working. Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
