Job Description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

Position: Administrative Assistant

Contract: 3-years renewable contract

Location: Ibadan

Closing Date: 29 June 2026

DUTIES:

  • Track FMS expenses and prepare monthly expense report for Head of FMS use.
  • Receive and follow up on complaints or work order requests.
  • Assist in issuance of uniforms. PPEs, and consumables to staff as applicable.
  • Assist in closing of work orders and compiling relevant chargebacks.
  • Assist units in raising requests for quotations and materials.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

OND in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks, maintain orderly systems, and follow through on priorities.
  • High level of accuracy in documentation, data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skill, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good computer proficiency.
