LOCATION Phoenix Citadel Corps

STATUS:FT/40hr/week

STATUS:Full time/Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have basic knowledge of office equipment (computers, fax, copy machine, etc.)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good phone etiquette
  • Must be able to follow directions both verbally and written
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input client information into the computer on a daily basis for all LDSAC programming
  • Responsible for input and reporting of PHAROS program
  • Responsible for Volunteer and Title V programs
  • Responsible for gathering, preparing, and disseminating items that make up the Senior Center calendar and newsletter
  • Monitor daily accounts receivable
  • Answer phone and direct the calls to the proper person
  • Receive the public, giving information about Senior Center
  • General office duties (making copies, filing, etc.)
  • Responsible for Thanksgiving and Christmas office duties (mapping, scheduling, etc.)
  • Generate and prepare monthly reports for Area Agency, Corps, and DHQ reporting
  • Record, prepare, and obtain proper minutes of all staff meetings
  • Maintain data files (hard copy and computer) on seniors/clients for both Home Delivered Meals and Congregate meals
  • Preparation of records and information concerning audits and assessments for both Salvation Army and outside auditors
  • Preparation of various flyers, cards, invitations, and announcements for all events including general activities, parties, memorials, and special events
  • Responsible for processing and maintaining the Home Delivered Meal Program (including correspondence and communication with case managers, Area Agency on Aging as well as senior/clientele)
  • Monitor and make arrangements for proper maintenance and purchasing of office equipment and supplies
  • Follow through on correspondence as needed for Program Director
  • All other duties as assigned by direct supervisor as they relate to the position of Administrative Assistant

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
