To provide administrative support and assistance to the Parish Priest and Parish Staff of Our Lady of Pentecost Parish.

This position requires an understanding of and commitment to the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church while embracing other religions and points of view with an open mind.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide administrative support to the Parish Priest and Parish Staff.
• Manage phone and in‑person enquiries at the Parish Office.
• Relay messages to staff promptly and accurately.
• Handle parish correspondence, including mail, email inboxes, and phone messages.
• Produce the weekly parish e‑newsletter.
• Prepare weekly Mass PowerPoint slides, including music slides.
• Maintain the parish music database and report copyright usage to OneLicence.
• Liaise with the Parish Music Coordinator.
• Assist with weekly counting.
• Assist in maintaining parishioner and sacrament registers on the parish database.
• Update and help maintain the parish website.
• Ensure electronic documents and emails are stored consistently within parish systems.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Parish Office Manager and/or Parish Priest.
WHAT YOU BRING
• A clear understanding of the mission of the local church at Our Lady of Pentecost Parish.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to talk to people of all ages.
• Competent in Microsoft applications including Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
• Competent in web management and the use of online booking forms and applications.
