• Employment Type: Ongoing, office-based position, five days per week
• General Clerk Grade, salary range $37,768 - $73,930 p.a plus superannuation & annual leave loading

Your role

The Housing Assistant position is an entry level position where you will directly support the client service delivery team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level of support through managing a range of administrative and client service functions.

Your day will be busy responding to over the counter and telephone enquiries, providing information to clients as well as referring client enquiries and information onto client service staff.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will deliver a range of customer-focused administrative and support services that contribute to the effective operation of the team and help ensure quality outcomes for clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide a range of routine administrative activities to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the team/unit that support the delivery of services to DCJ clients/customers.
• Manage over the counter and telephone enquiries, providing accurate information and referring matters to client service staff as required to ensure timely and effective assistance.
• Process business information and maintain accurate records, systems and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
• Use relevant technology to prepare documentation and presentation material to support business unit managers and team leaders.
• Support the use of business unit filing systems in accordance with standards and guidelines, by creating, storing, retrieving, and tracking files to ensure the accurate and safe storage of information.
• Work and maintain regular contact with other business areas to effectively arrange meetings and manage the flow of business information.
• Organising and prioritising daily tasks to support team objectives, meet deadlines and respond to changing workloads and business needs.
