Job Description

We are recruiting for an Administration Officer to join our friendly and collaborative team on a casual basis at our YMCA Yarrabilba Community Centre.

About the Role

As the Administration Officer, you will coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day operations of The Community Centre including the support of compliance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and apply the Community Centre Service Delivery Model and the centre specific Theory of Change in the delivery of all programs;
• Ensure the program vision and needs of the community are central to centre operations;
• Provide a high standard of customer service to a wide range of individuals and groups amongst the community;
• Ensure a written agreement is entered into with each third-party user and make sure that the rights and responsibilities of each party are maintained;
• Follow organisational systems and procedures to both hire to and collect hire fees from third party users;
• Support the Community Centre Manager in End of month, accounts receivable and payable and other financial processes;
• Schedule contractors to undertake facility maintenance to ensure the Centres remain fit for purpose;
• Assist in the provision of effective and efficient management, supervision and coaching to volunteers.

About You

• Relevant qualification/s and or relevant experience;
• Knowledge of community centres or similar environments;
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships;
• MS Suite skills of an intermediate level;
• Strong organisational and time management skills;
• Ability to manage conflicts, complaints and any difficult situations, which may arise;
• High level of written and verbal communication skills including proven ability to write reports, and communicate effectively with diverse groups;
• Valid Paid Blue Card and;
• National Criminal History check prior to commencement of employment (or willingness to obtain).
