Salary: £37,312 (Pro rata for part time posts)

Location: Children’s Centres & Family Hubs (with travel to other council/voluntary/statutory agency offices or venues)

Contract Types: x 2 Permanent/Full Time & 1 x Permanent/Part time 18 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Children’s Centre & Family Hubs team. To assist Business Managers in providing a high-quality administrative service to a busy and demanding Early Years multi-agency team. May include administrative support to weekend servicesafter 5pm.

You will be based in Children’s Centre & Family Hubs acting as first point of contact delivering excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers. Your key duties will include providing a welcoming professional reception service, accurately entering, monitoring and updating data on various in-house systems including MOSAiC, EIS and, SystmOne, supporting the administration of activities and programmes in the engagement of families, administering office procurement systems using Oracle finance and Excel including; placing, receiving and receipting orders; checking payments have been made; and the processing of nursery fees and contracts using ASH.

You will also have the opportunity to showcase your clerical skills by supporting in other administrative duties, such as minute taking and assisting in and contributing to meetings and events.

We are recruiting for two full-time and one part-time Administrative Officer positions to join Camden’s designated Children’s Centres and Family Hubs. These roles will primarily be based at the hubs, with occasional travel to other council offices, voluntary organisations, and statuary agency venues as required.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service.

To be considered for this role its essential the successful candidate is fully proficient in MS Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel and has previous experience working with sensitive, confidential data in a professional manner.

The role of Administrative Officer will provide you with the opportunity to use your organisational and planning skills to deliver first class administrative support to the team.

You will have excellent front of house experience working in a busy reception area providing outstanding customer service whilst efficiently multi-tasking administrative duties.

You will work well as part of a team sharing workloads and demonstrate excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with different stakeholders, including internal and external suppliers ensuring a good working relationship. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will demonstrate an ability to resolve challenging situations and complex queries, working with a range of individuals including children and vulnerable adults.

You will have excellent timekeeping skills and be able to work accurately and efficiently to deadlines. Flexibility will be required as you will be expected to work from multiple settings and may on occasion be required to attend out-of-hours events. A positive, proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative are crucial for being productive in this fast-paced environment.
