Job Description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our QLD Services team, in a newly created role. Based in Wulkuraka, QLD and reporting to the Services Director QLD, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the depots (Wulkuraka, Outstations and Southport), ensuring efficient workflow, compliance, and consistent service delivery. This role acts as the central coordination point between depot administration, the Facilities team, and the Services Director, providing high‑level operational support, reporting, and process optimisation across the Services function. We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading and optimising all depot administrative operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant day‑to‑day performance.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a high‑performing admin team with a strong customer focus.
  • Driving operational coordination by supporting reporting, scheduling, and workflow management to enable seamless service delivery.
  • Acting as a key liaison to senior leadership, providing insights on performance, workforce utilisation, and operational priorities.
  • Partnering with Facilities to oversee depot maintenance, asset management, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to WHS, regulatory, and company policies, maintaining audit‑ready documentation and safety support.
  • Overseeing procurement and financial administration, including supplier management, cost tracking, and budget support.
  • Championing continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes, and enhancing service delivery across the depot.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, manage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to thrive within fast-paced and dynamic operations.
  • The ability to lead and manage a team of administrative staff.
  • A sound understanding of Alstom systems and tools.
  • Significant experience in a similar administrative role.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also enjoy:

  • Receiving generous parental leave – 18 weeks fully paid.
  • Having access to a free corporate gym membership.
  • Purchased annual leave and novated leasing schemes.
  • Independent and confidential wellbeing support for you and your family.
  • Our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.
  • A competitive package that recognises your performance and potential.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
