12-Month Strategic Transformation Role | NSW, QLD & WA

Lead the transformation of administration services across a national healthcare network.

This role can be based in either NSW or Queensland with a hybrid work arrangement. We welcome applications from candidates located in, or willing to work from, either state.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and confident Administration Excellence & Compliance Lead to join our organisation for a 12-month strategic appointment.

This is an opportunity to make a significant organisation-wide impact by leading the review, standardisation and optimisation of administration services across 12 sites in NSW, QLD and WA.

Working closely with Centre Managers, operational leaders and key corporate functions, you will identify opportunities to improve administration practices, strengthen compliance, reduce revenue leakage and debt accumulation, build workforce capability and support the successful transition of three sites to our primary EMR platform, Mosaiq.

About the role

This is a hands-on transformation role for a leader who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and bringing people with them through change.

You will lead a 12-month strategic program focused on creating a consistent, compliant and high-performing administration model across the organisation. You will work across sites to understand current practices, identify risks and opportunities, design future-state processes and support teams to embed sustainable improvements.

Travel across our network in NSW, QLD and WA is expected as part of this role.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Reviewing and standardising administration processes across all 12 sites.
  • Mapping end-to-end workflows and developing clear, practical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identifying process variation, inefficiencies, compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Improving eligibility verification, admissions, registrations, Medicare processing and billing handover practices.
  • Partnering with the Billing & Health Fund team to identify and address the root causes of debt accumulation, claim rejections, billing rework and revenue leakage.
  • Establishing meaningful KPIs, reporting and performance monitoring to improve first-time-right outcomes.
  • Reviewing administration onboarding, training and competency frameworks and implementing a consistent approach across the network.
  • Building capability through role-based training, competency assessments and site-based champions or super users.
  • Establishing an administration audit, compliance and quality assurance framework.
  • Supporting the transition of three sites to the organisation's primary EMR platform, Mosaiq, including readiness, process alignment, training, change management and post-go-live optimisation.
  • Establishing governance, escalation and continuous improvement frameworks that can be sustained beyond the 12-month program.
  • Working collaboratively with Centre Managers and operational leaders to embed ownership and accountability at a local level.

What success looks like

By the end of the 12-month program, you will have helped establish a standardised, compliant and high-performing administration function across our network.

About you

We are looking for a confident and influential leader who can operate strategically while remaining close to the operational detail.

You will be someone who:

  • Has demonstrated experience leading administration, operational excellence, compliance, process improvement or transformation initiatives.
  • Is highly organised, analytical and outcomes focused.
  • Can quickly understand complex processes, identify root causes and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Has a strong understanding of revenue integrity, billing processes, compliance and data quality.
  • Is comfortable working with data, KPIs and performance reporting to drive improvement.
  • Has experience developing and implementing SOPs, governance frameworks, audit programs or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Can build capability and bring consistency to geographically dispersed teams.
  • Is an excellent communicator who can influence Centre Managers, operational leaders and corporate stakeholders.
  • Is confident challenging existing practices while building trust and engaging teams in change.
  • Has strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Can balance competing priorities and deliver against a defined 12-month strategic roadmap.
  • Is comfortable working across different systems, environments and levels of organisational maturity.
  • Is willing and able to travel regularly across NSW, QLD and WA to support site reviews, implementation and capability uplift.

Experience in healthcare administration and/or EMR implementation will be highly regarded.

Why join us?

This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-impact transformation program across a national network and leave a lasting legacy.

If you are a driven, confident and solutions-focused leader who thrives on improving how organisations operate, we would love to hear from you.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 5 weeks of annual leave.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • The chance to be part of a leading-edge cancer care centre.
