How you will make an impact
The Medical Imaging Ultrasound Assistant plays an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services in a caring and patient-focused environment. You will provide vital administrative assistance to the Ultrasound team to ensure the smooth coordination of patient bookings, referrals and department workflow while delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and enter inpatient and Emergency ultrasound referrals into Visage, ensuring accurate appointment and preparation information
Communicate effectively with patients, referrers and clinical teams regarding appointments, transport and preparation requirements
Support the day-to-day operations of the ultrasound department, including answering phones and escalating urgent matters appropriately
Maintain ultrasound room stock levels, linen management and cleanliness in line with infection control standards
Assist with patient flow coordination, boarding passes and transfer documentation
Work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
What we’re looking for
Previous administration or office experience (healthcare industry preferable) with strong computer and word processing skills
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Professional manner with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands effectively
Strong attention to detail with accurate and timely completion of work
Demonstrated respect for confidentiality in all matters
