Flexible part-time opportunity - 25 hours per week (i.e. Monday – Friday, 8am – 1pm)
Base salary will range from $77,545 - $82,218 (full-time equivalent) + 17% Superannuation + fortnightly regional Locality Allowance
Based at SQRH Charleville (travel to other campuses/sites will be necessary from time to time)
We are seeking a motivated, organised, and customer focused Administration Assistant to join the supportive team at Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) in Charleville to provide trusted administrative and reception support to our staff, students and clients.
SQRH is a Commonwealth-funded University Department of Rural Health which aims to make a real and positive difference to regional healthcare in Queensland, and the education of our students and future healthcare professionals. Reporting to the Deputy Director (South West), this role involves a wide range of office coordination and administrative support activities, including processing relevant financials, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and facilitating the efficient and effective functioning of the office’s day to day procedures, operations, logistics and assurance of standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Working under general supervision, provide high level administrative support to staff.
Organise and support routine events/meetings/activities.
Facilitate efficient functioning of the office's day to day procedures and operations, in accordance with administrative protocols and standards.
Liaise with internal and/or external clients and stakeholders, including answering routine queries and providing advice as relevant to the role.
Apply a range of desktop-based programs and/or management information systems.
Maintain administration Quality Assurance systems and processes.
Provide administrative support to relevant projects.
Undertake office reception tasks, including meeting, coordinating and briefing visitors.
Coordinate committee/meeting/engagement activities, including booking rooms, scheduling meetings, drafting relevant documentation, taking minutes, travel bookings, monitoring RSVPs and liaison with attendees.
Administers relevant financials (for example, manage reimbursements and other expenses in accordance with University financial policy and procedures).
Our ideal candidate will possess:
Cert IV or Diploma with relevant work experience; Cert III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) and Zoom.
Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
