  • Annual gross salary range bet. FJD 38,019 to FJD 49,424 (pro-rata) commensurate to experience

Exciting opportunity to join AVI's Pacific Team! We're currently looking for Administration and Finance Officer for our Fiji office.

AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program supports skilled Australian volunteers to work alongside organisations to sustainably support capacity development of people, organisations and communities in various countries across the Pacific, Asia and Africa.

The Administration and Finance Officer is responsible for providing quality administrative management for the Australian Volunteers Program in Fiji and Tuvalu, including management of financial processes, and program support services.

Position Requirements:

  • Formal administration qualifications or relevant, equivalent experience, in a similar position/s.
  • Strong administrative skills including experience with databases, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Excellent financial literacy, and proven ability to undertake accurate and timely financial processes and reporting
  • Sound knowledge of international development issues and challenges and an understanding of the history, culture and political system of Fiji and Tuvalu.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to take initiative, be flexible in work practices, set priorities, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Proven proficiency with database, spreadsheet and word-processing software.
  • Cross-cultural awareness, including an ability to work with stakeholders from varied cultural backgrounds
  • Sound knowledge of, and commitment to the underpinning values, goals and objectives of the Australian Volunteers Program
  • Understanding of and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, child protection and privacy principles.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
