Work Schedule: This position will be on-site 5 days a week.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The administrative professional provides clerical, secretarial, and front desk support to the Admissions and Attendance department and will work in accordance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and UVA policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors front desk regularly
- Tracks and maintains student records under applicable laws and regulations
- Schedules appointments and helps manage the department's calendar
- Drafts and sends correspondences as directed
- Routes incoming and outgoing record requests
- Handles phone calls and relays accurate information
- Serves as a confidential liaison between staff and parents/guardians
- Supports data entry and state reporting
- Attends department meetings as directed
- Maintains good communication and working relationships with colleagues and external contacts
- Works closely with the department to prepare documents for audit
- Refers parents, guardians, and other approved supports to the appropriate department(s) for training and consultations regarding their roles and responsibilities
- Maintains a customer service mindset when communicating with families via phone calls, text messages, emails, and virtual meetings
- Maintains the department's office supply inventory
- Maintains an orderly breakroom and ensures inventory is replenished
- Works in accordance with laws, regulations, and UVA's policies and procedures
- Attends professional development workshops and meetings
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- May travel occasionally to support statewide mandated test administration and to participate in student-sponsored events
