Department: Fort St. John Area

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Fort St. John, BC office is actively hiring for an Intern Field Administration/Reception position to join the local operations team. This position reports day‑to‑day to two Supervisors and supports Pembina’s field and office operations in the region.

The Fort St. John team includes a range of operational and administrative roles working together to safely and efficiently support Pembina’s pipeline and facility operations.

The Fort St. John office operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with reception closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.

Note: This is a 4-month term, the successful candidate must live within 100 km of Fort St. John, B.C.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Provide front-desk reception coverage, including greeting visitors, responding to general inquiries, and answering and directing incoming phone calls;
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments;
  • Inventory, organize, and sort physical and electronic documents within the Fort St. John office;
  • General administrative tasks, filing and scanning, database updates & entries, and vacation relief;
  • Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems;
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
  • Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
  • Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems is an asset;
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage confidential information;
  • Professional communication skills (in person, phone and email);
  • Motivated, reliable, customer service orientated and comfortable working independently with guidance, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and Pembina’s values;
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
  • Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for; and
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term (May to August 2026)

Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is CAD to CAD. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
