This position operates the switchboard and serves as the "first face" for District 58 to visitors/customers in the front receptionist area, creating and maintaining an atmosphere of professional friendliness and helpfulness. The switchboard operator records calls and complaints into the DOTD log system. This position also has accounting duties, such as creating documents for payment to vendors and auditing documents, reports, and forms for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, the switchboard operator is responsible for maintaining the copy machines.

Job Duties:
Greet and direct visitors; answer and route phone calls.
Log requests and complaints from the public about the roads that DOTD maintains; route to appropriate personnel.
Create documents necessary for payment to vendors for goods and services.
Scan documents and enter information into databases; prepare reports.
Audit accounting documents, reports, and forms.
Maintain copy machines; fill with paper, toner, and staples and schedule repairman.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probation, promotion, or detail to special duty.
Career Progression: This position will be filled as an Admin Coordinator 3.
Work Schedule: Full-time weekdays.
Compensation: Depends on qualifications; no less than $13.77/hour.
