Job Description

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

- Administrative Assistant - Akron, OH Area

The organizations’ member companies — Accumark, and Benchmark — have been providing solutions to engineering firms, government entities, utility owners and contractors across the nation for over 30 years.

They continually strive to bring value to their clients through high-quality data deliverables and services in pipe cleaning and assessment, cross bore inspection, trenchless rehabilitation, and subsurface utility locating and mapping.

Established in 2012, Benchmark provides damage prevention solutions to utility companies and municipalities. Benchmark also provides private utility-locating services to homeowners and contractors, with 24/7 service to its clients.

Benchmark is responsible for eliminating or reducing damages to underground utilities during any kind of excavation. Through the 811-call center, Benchmark locates underground facilities through established on-call contracts, and is responsible for marking gas, water, sewer, electric and fiber lines.

The company works diligently to build lasting relationships within the industry. Benchmark’s contracts typically span several years, so providing the highest-quality work and outstanding customer service is the top priority, after ensuring that all safety measures are taken before, during and after each project.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service for all incoming calls for the Benchmark business unit, aim for first call resolution, and follow up or forward any calls needing additional support.
  • Assist with the administrative function for all fleet maintenance needs.
  • Assist with general office support for team members which may include, but is not limited to, processing documents and channeling to the appropriate parties.
  • Assist with tracking metrics for a variety of business functions.
  • Maintain and order all office supplies and other inventory as necessary.
  • Execute clerical and general office duties such as setting up filing systems, data entry, typing, copying, ordering office supplies, and other administrative tasks for special projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • A minimum of 1+ years in a customer service, administrative, or office management role.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft suite of products required.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers, homeowners, employees, and leaders
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Services, or Construction and/or Customer Service.
  • A proven track record of results, the successful candidate will work independently, manage multiple competing priorities, and manage their time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
