The Administrative Assistant works with the Managers of Continuing Care in the allocation and management of day to day administrative activities within the portfolio. In addition, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the Long Term Care Behavioural Support Team. The Administrative Assistant communicates and liaises with 18 Saskatoon Urban Long Term Care sites, each with their own unique reporting structures, work culture and diverse administrative structure.

  • Management degree/diploma
  • Management certificate
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Administration Assistant Certificate
  • Administration Assistant Certificate
  • Administration Assistant Diploma

Competencies:

  • Communication skills- Advanced
  • Organizational skills- Advanced
  • Interpersonal skills- Advanced

Experience:

  • Experience working with collective agreement
  • Several years' experience in an administrative role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to take large amount of complex information and convey it concisely
  • Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidential information
  • Demonstrated political sensitivity and discretion
  • Demonstrated political sensitivity and discretion
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
