Required Degree:
Bachelor’s Degree in family history, history, or a relevant social science or humanities is required.
Graduate degree in family history, history, or related field is preferred.
Professional genealogy credential completed or in the final stages of review/testing by start date.
Must have required degree by the start date.
Qualifications:
Skilled in using online databases, Microsoft Office software, email, and comfortable with online teaching platforms (or comfortable learning an online teaching platform).
College-level teaching experience.
Have the knowledge and ability to teach family history in the 19th and 20th centuries, across the globe.
Organized and careful about time management.
Proficiency in using technology and learning management systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties/Expectations:
Teach HIST 217 with Independent Study - University.
Communicating with students, grading assignments/papers, and providing timely and constructive written feedback on student work.
Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment that encourages student participation.
